I love sport, I love watching and playing it. I think Competition is a good thing and can bring a lot of good to a person. It is such a shame how some schools try to get rid of it by enforcing some stupid rules.

I would ALWAYS prefer to play a sport than to play video games.

A good mix of sports and video games is needed. I ran track in high school and I enjoy other sports if I get a chance to play them.

Also agreed.

Our school (when I was in school, anyways) was pretty hardcore about sports (usually won top sports school). So most people balanced academics with sports and whatever other hobbies.

Competition along with exercise is a pretty good deal. My pneumothorax history plays hell with things though.

I'm a nice sedentary person who prefers reading, playing the piano, etc. to outdoors sports. I can probably hunt down a book I want in a book fair faster than anyone else I know, though - while lugging a full basket. Yay me.

Frankly, though, my old school went absolutely nuts during interschool soccer season, and after hearing the bitchfests, I just grew a lot more jaded. Also, competition with exercise sounds good - provided the competition's evenly matched. I had a class full of people who were in the school sports teams. I'm sure they found each other entertaining competition, but I didn't.

I choose video games over sports because winter sports are hard to play during the other three seasons of the year. It's quite hard to shred without snow under my board. And then sometimes during the winter it's PRETTY BLOODY COLD OUT and I decide I'd rather play TF2 or WoW than catch a cold.

By the way, fix your car Sn0W, you lazy bum.

Yeah but that's because they were ASIAN. Also SC counts as a serious sport over there so shut up.

Personally, I'm not really into team sports like soccer. I do enjoy competition though, it's a good feeling when you win something.

I've tried snowboarding once, I really enjoyed it but I (obviously) wasn't too good at it. I'd do it more often but the closest place (well, one that isn't shit) where you can snowboard is like a 2 hour drive away, and seeing how I'm not allowed to drive a car yet it's kind of hard. Also our winters are not that cold which means there isn't a lot of snow - and even if there was snow, there aren't any mountains.

Now I just ride my mountainbike in the woods which is pretty fun.

I'd probably choose sports over video games, but it really depends on the weather, obviously.
